Phidias sets up a European team - Which MEPs he is sounding out

Independent MEP Fidias Panagiotou is planning to create a new political group in the European Parliament, primarily with Slovak MEPs aligned with Prime Minister Robert Fico. The group could include Greek MEPs as well. Fico is known for his close ties with Moscow, raising concerns about a potentially pro-Russian presence within the parliament. Forming a political group requires at least 23 MEPs from at least a quarter of EU member states, granting significant influence. MEPs Nikos Pappas and Nikos Farandouris have also been considered to join the group.
