USA: Sanctions on individuals and 14 vessels for illegal Iranian oil trade

The United States has announced a fresh round of oil sanctions against Iran, focusing on the illegal trade of petroleum and petrochemical products. These new measures target 15 entities, two individuals, and 14 shadow fleet vessels associated with Tehran’s regime. According to State Department officials, the move is part of the administration's maximum pressure campaign to curb funding for destabilizing global activities. Interestingly, the announcement followed high-level talks in Oman, where both nations reportedly agreed to maintain open channels for negotiations. As a result of these sanctions, any assets held by the targeted parties in the US will be frozen. Furthermore, American citizens and companies are strictly prohibited from conducting business with the sanctioned entities or individuals.
