Democratic Rally demands security and defense policy clarifications from AKEL and new political parties

These include whether they support increasing defense spending to 3% of GDP and whether they favor full participation in the European SAFE program. Furthermore, DISY asks if these political forces support existing strategic alliances, European defense architecture, and potential integration with NATO. The inquiry also seeks to define their specific strategy for national survival within the volatile international environment of 2026. DISY asserts that national security is a priority that transcends ideological divisions and expects clear, responsible answers from all parties ahead of potential electoral processes.
