Cyprus Red Cross Society launches 2026 nationwide fundraising campaign

The Cyprus Red Cross Society has launched its annual nationwide fundraising campaign, scheduled to run until May 20, 2026. Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides officially inaugurated the initiative on May 8, 2026, to coincide with World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. The campaign is supported by the company Allwyn. During the event, Red Cross President Fotini Papadopoulou detailed the impact of the partnership with Allwyn over the last nine years. Statistics provided include 12,949 child treatments, humanitarian aid for 108,371 individuals, and awareness programs involving 12,275 youths. Allwyn CEO Alexandros Davos reaffirmed the company's commitment to supporting the organization's humanitarian operations. Minister Charalambides highlighted the importance of collective social action during the launch.
