Two separate bank-related criminal incidents in central Greece

Two distinct criminal incidents involving banks have been reported in the Central Greece region. In Kato Tithorea, three armed individuals wearing Kalashnikov rifles robbed a bank branch shortly after 10:00, reportedly escaping with 200,000 euros. Sources differ on their escape method; one report suggests they fled in a vehicle, while another claims they moved on foot toward alleys where a getaway car was waiting. Additionally, a separate incident involved an ATM explosion in Viotia around 04:00. Perpetrators blew up the machine and stole a cash cassette estimated to contain 100,000 euros. Authorities discovered approximately 2,500 euros in burnt banknotes left at the scene. The Thebes Crime Investigation Department is currently reviewing security camera footage and witness testimonies for the ATM case, while a manhunt is underway in the Parnassos area regarding the bank robbery.
