Armed robbery at a bank branch in Kato Tithorea
An armed robbery occurred at a bank branch in Kato Tithorea. A group of at least three to four individuals, disguised with wigs and masks and armed with Kalashnikov rifles, executed the operation in approximately 20 minutes. Reports indicate the perpetrators forced staff and customers to the ground before compelling an employee to open the vault. Estimates of the stolen amount vary between 100,000 and 200,000 euros. During their escape, witnesses reported that the suspects dropped some of the stolen cash in the street before fleeing in a vehicle toward Livadeia. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects in the Parnassus region. Conflicting reports suggest either three or four perpetrators were involved, and while some sources mention a daytime armed assault, other provided texts incorrectly conflate this with a separate ATM explosion incident in Viotia. Authorities are currently reviewing security footage and witness statements to clarify the details.
