Authorities investigate two separate death cases on Monday

On May 11, authorities discovered two separate bodies in Cyprus. In the first case, the body of 79-year-old Achilleas Michail, who had been missing from Strovolos since May 8, was found in a field near Praitori in the Paphos district. A search operation involving a helicopter and drones led to the discovery of his body and vehicle. A post-mortem examination is pending to determine the exact cause of death. In a separate incident, British Bases Police in Dhekelia were alerted at 9:00 am to a burned vehicle near a fish farm in Liopetri. A charred, currently unidentifiable body was found inside the wreckage. The British Bases police and the fire service are investigating the scene to establish the cause of the fire and the circumstances of the death, with all scenarios currently under investigation.
