Delivery workers attacked and robbed in Paphos

Two food delivery workers, aged 21 and 22, reported being attacked by a group of individuals in Paphos on the night of Saturday, May 9. The incident occurred between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM, with some assailants wearing masks and face coverings. The attackers threw stones, wood, and bottles at the victims, and at least one individual brandished a knife. Due to the assault, the delivery workers abandoned their motorcycles, which subsequently sustained damage, and the attackers allegedly stole food from a delivery box. The victims reported a second attack by the same group involving stones and wood around 10:30 PM in a nearby area. The 22-year-old victim suffered a leg injury and was treated at the Paphos General Hospital before being discharged. A formal complaint was filed with the police shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 10. The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is currently investigating the case.
