Police finalize report on the Santi case

The Cypriot police have completed a preliminary report concerning the high-profile Santi case, which was initiated following allegations by Makarios Drousiotis. Chief of Police Themistos Arnaoutis has received the report and is scheduled to brief the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Fytiris. The investigation includes over 70 to 80 testimonies, analysis of financial records, and examination of electronic messages. While the police team has finished its internal work, authorities are currently awaiting final forensic results from Europol regarding the authenticity and content of controversial messages. A team of FBI experts, who visited Cyprus to evaluate the credibility and behavior of the 45-year-old subject known as 'Santi,' has completed its mission and returned to the United States. Following the ministerial briefing, the case file is expected to be forwarded to the Law Office of the Republic for further legal assessment. Authorities emphasize that the investigation is professional and aimed at verifying whether the messages involved were fabricated or intercepted.
