Israeli ambassador to Cyprus addresses concerns over local investments

The ambassador emphasized that the Israeli community, consisting of thousands of professionals and families, is integrated into the local economy and society. The statement comes amid public debate regarding Israeli-linked property development, specifically the project by Hungarian-Israeli investor Uriel Curtis in the village of Trozena. Reports indicate the project aims to build 60 units, a winery, and a campsite. However, the Limassol District Local Government Organisation and the Environment Department have raised questions and reservations regarding the scope and nature of the development. Land records suggest purchase prices varied between 20,000 and 40,000 euros per plot.
