Five individuals arrested for drug possession in Paphos

On the evening of the previous day at approximately 19:50, police in Kato Paphos stopped a vehicle carrying five people for inspection. The passengers included a 54-year-old driver, a 27-year-old, a 20-year-old, a 35-year-old, and a 16-year-old girl, all residents of Paphos. During the stop, the 27-year-old attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. Police discovered 83 grams of cocaine, 3,050 euros, and 70 pounds in his possession. Further searches of the vehicle and the other passengers uncovered an additional 4 grams of cocaine, 183 grams of cannabis, 19 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, along with precision scales. All five individuals were arrested for flagrant offenses and remain in custody. The Paphos Drug Law Enforcement Unit, in cooperation with local traffic police, is conducting an ongoing investigation.
