Larnaca water supply expected to remain stable this summer

Angelos Chatzicharalampous, President of the Larnaca District Self-Government Organization (EOA), announced that water cuts are not expected in the city and district of Larnaca during the upcoming summer months. This outlook is attributed to various measures already implemented by the authorities to manage resources. The organization is urging citizens to adopt a culture of water conservation and actively reduce waste to ensure current supplies last. Chatzicharalampous warned that while water availability is sufficient for this year, conditions might deteriorate in the future if consumption levels remain high. Additionally, the installation of 27,500 smart water meters is scheduled for completion in June. These devices are intended to improve service quality and allow consumers to monitor their usage more effectively.
