The new METRO Agias Fylaxeos supermarket in Limassol officially opened on February 4, 2026, with representatives from the church and local government in attendance. The opening ceremony included a blessing and official ribbon-cutting, marking the store's operational launch. To celebrate, METRO Supermarkets are hosting an opening week from February 1st to 8th, 2026, featuring activities, experiences, and prizes. A daily raffle is being held where one customer can win €1,000 worth of groceries. This new supermarket is the second METRO in Limassol and the seventh in Cyprus.
