37-year-old man arrested at Larnaca airport on European arrest warrant

A 37-year-old man was arrested at Larnaca International Airport early today, at approximately 3:30 a.m., while attempting to travel abroad. During routine passport control, authorities discovered an active European Arrest Warrant issued against him. The warrant is linked to alleged offenses committed in a European country in 2022, specifically participation in a criminal organization, cybercrime, and the embezzlement of a significant sum of money. Following his arrest, the man was placed in police custody. He is scheduled to appear before the Larnaca District Court in the coming days.
