President Christodoulides makes first official state visit to Moldova

President Nikos Christodoulides of the Republic of Cyprus has arrived in Chisinau for his first official state visit to Moldova. During his visit on May 9, 2026, he is scheduled to hold meetings with his Moldovan counterpart, Maia Sandu. The discussions will cover bilateral relations, Moldova's integration into the European Union, regional developments, and the ongoing Cyprus issue. Following the talks, both leaders will make statements to the media, and President Sandu will host a dinner in honor of the visiting President. Before his departure, President Christodoulides and President Sandu will visit the city's central square. Both leaders are expected to deliver speeches during a concert held to mark Europe Day celebrations.
