Arson attack reported in Mammari village

At approximately 4 a.m., a fire occurred in the village of Mammari in the Nicosia district. According to police, a vehicle owned by a 49-year-old man and used by a 48-year-old woman was completely destroyed. The fire subsequently spread to a second vehicle, belonging to a 23-year-old woman, causing extensive damage. The heat and flames also resulted in damage to the doors and windows of the 49-year-old man's residence. Personnel from the Fire Service arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities have stated that, based on preliminary evidence, the fire is considered an act of arson.
