Sabbianco Anorthosis wins the Allwyn Men's Handball Championship
On May 9, Sabbianco Anorthosis secured their sixth consecutive Allwyn Men's Handball Championship title. In the second final held at the Kyriakos Pissis stadium, they defeated Parnassos with a score of 32-30, leading 18-15 at halftime. This victory brought Anorthosis to the required five wins in the series. Key scorers for Anorthosis included Yosdany Rios Ballard with ten goals, while Ioulios Argyrou and Marko Buntic added seven each. Alexander Charalambous scored six for Parnassos. In the battle for third place, European University defeated ALS Omonia 29 with a score of 26-23, narrowing the series to 4-2. Dimitris Anagnostopoulos scored six goals for the winners, while Stathis Kesidis led the visiting team with seven. Additionally, AO KN Ag. Trimithias extended their lead to 4-1 in the seventh-eighth place series after a 41-36 victory.
