Cyprus government promotes Minds in Cyprus initiative at diaspora forum

During the second day of the Cyprus Diaspora Forum in Limassol, Deputy Minister to the President, Irene Piki, provided an update on the 'Minds in Cyprus' strategic initiative. Originally launched by the President of the Republic in London in May 2025, the project is a collaborative effort between the government, Invest Cyprus, and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). Its primary goal is to reconnect Cypriot professionals and scientists living abroad with the country’s domestic labor market. Piki reported that the initiative has recorded over 600 registrations from global professionals and more than 250 specialized job vacancies have been posted. Furthermore, diaspora members have submitted over 250 technical and policy-related inquiries and suggestions, particularly concerning tax matters. The government plans to continue targeted outreach efforts in the United Kingdom and the United States throughout the current year. The initiative aims to leverage the international expertise and networks of the diaspora to enhance Cyprus's professional landscape.
