Venezuela opens up to foreign oil companies

Venezuelan Interim President Delcy Rodriguez met with executives from Repsol (Spain) and Maurel & Prom (France). The meetings follow changes to the legal framework governing hydrocarbon exploitation in Venezuela. The goal is to strengthen national energy sovereignty through mutually beneficial cooperation. PDVSA, the state-owned oil company, stated the meetings aim to solidify strategic alliances and enhance energy production. Both companies were already operating in Venezuela.
