Meeting held between the Minister of Energy and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus

The meeting, which also included the Ministry's Director General Kyriakos Iordanou, focused on auditing procedures for hydrocarbon mining companies operating in Cyprus. A primary topic of discussion was the verification of cost recovery statements. Both parties exchanged views on the necessity of enhancing supervision, transparency, and accountability mechanisms within the energy sector. ICPAC representatives attending the meeting included President Odysseas Christodoulou, Vice President Andreas Andreou, Director General Andreas Papadatos, and the Chairman of the ICPAC Energy Committee, Nikolas Iliadis. President Christodoulou emphasized that robust auditing in the hydrocarbon sector is essential for maintaining the state's credibility.
