Invest Cyprus hosts investment roundtable in Washington
On May 4, Invest Cyprus held a closed-door roundtable in Washington D.C. at The Westin Washington National Harbour in partnership with fDi Intelligence and the Financial Times. The event, titled 'FDI shifts and the future of Europe’s investment landscape – Regulatory and investment conditions in Cyprus', marked the fourth joint initiative between these entities. The session was chaired by Danielle Myles, Senior Editor at fDi Intelligence, and attended by various founders and investors. Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Nicodemos Damianou, represented the Cypriot government. Discussions focused on promoting Cyprus as a strategic entry point for US technology firms into the European Union. Invest Cyprus also participated in the SelectUSA Investment Summit to engage directly with prospective US investors. The agency cited recent developments, such as the arrival of Tenstorrent, the establishment of the Plug and Play Tech Center, and a partnership with NVIDIA for a national supercomputer, as key drivers for the country's technological appeal.
