Panathinaikos suffers injury setbacks for remaining playoffs
Panathinaikos players Sverrir Ingason and Facundo Pellistri have been ruled out for the remaining three matches of the Stoiximan Super League playoffs. Medical examinations revealed that defender Sverrir Ingason suffered an ankle sprain, while winger Facundo Pellistri sustained a first-degree adductor muscle strain. The team continued its preparations on May 8th at the Georgios Kalafatis training center ahead of the upcoming away match against AEK. Training sessions included warm-ups, ball possession exercises, tactics, and half-pitch games. Renato Sanches and Giorgos Katris followed individual training programs. Additionally, Tin Jedvaj, Cyriel Dessers, and Moussa Sissoko are currently undergoing treatment and are not available for selection by coach Rafa Benitez. The club confirmed these absences as they finalize their lineup for the final games of the season.
