Mousiouttas at UN Summit: Commitment to a just future of work

Cypriot Labour Minister, Marinos Mousiouttas, pledged Cyprus' commitment to a fair and inclusive future of work at the 62nd UN Commission for Social Development in New York. Mousiouttas represented both the EU and Cyprus, emphasizing social justice through decent work, social dialogue, and strong social protection systems. He highlighted Cyprus' historically high employment levels and focus on managing technological advancements for the benefit of all workers. He also attended an event on the Doha commitments, advocating for a renewed global social contract, and held meetings with European counterparts to strengthen international cooperation. Discussions also touched on the upcoming informal Council of Labour Ministers in Cyprus.
