Start of 2026 child and single-parent benefit payments in Cyprus

The Cypriot Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare has announced that payments for child and single-parent family benefits for 2026 will commence on 29 May 2026. This follows the publication of a relevant decree by the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance in the Official Gazette. Beneficiaries who received these benefits in 2025 will have their eligibility reviewed automatically by the Welfare Benefits Management Service (WMS) and do not need to reapply. However, individuals who have experienced changes in their personal or financial circumstances, such as shifts in dividend income, must update their records via the electronic Change of Details form. All submissions require registration and profile identification through the CYLogin platform. Additionally, 2025 child benefit recipients wishing to apply for the single-parent benefit for 2026 must also use the electronic form. Those who were not previously beneficiaries must submit a new application electronically via the CYLogin portal by the deadline of 31 December 2026.
