Panathinaikos considers potential return of Georgios Vagiannidis

Portuguese newspaper Record reports that Panathinaikos is monitoring the situation of Greek international defender Georgios Vagiannidis. Vagiannidis is currently under contract with Sporting Lisbon until 2030, following a transfer from Panathinaikos last summer for a fee of 13 million euros. His current contract includes an 80 million euro release clause. During the previous season, the player recorded 30 appearances and 7 assists in all competitions. Sporting Lisbon is reportedly open to the possibility of a loan move to ensure the player receives sufficient match time.
