Junior Achievement Cyprus announces 2026 Student Company of the Year winner

On April 29, 2026, Junior Achievement Cyprus held the final of the 13th annual Student Company competition as part of the Road to Gen-E event. The program, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, involved 550 students aged 15–18. Participants formed 89 companies, with 15 teams reaching the final stage. The judging panel featured representatives from PwC Foundation, MetLife, Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus, Coffee Island, the Research and Innovation Foundation, Amdocs Cyprus, and Bank of Cyprus. The top award went to the HerShield team from St. Mary’s School in Limassol. The winning team members are Pashalis Alatzoglou, Andrea Marcelina Pelentridi, Ioanna Christina Petrou, Emmeleia Marina Mitrofanous, Despoina Michail, Zoe Michail, Erika Vasili, Mikaella Tranta, and Iro Christou. Guided by teachers Maria Kythreotou and Maria Papa and mentor Annita Petrou, the students developed a discrete lip gloss case containing testing strips for detecting substances in drinks.
