Bonnie Tyler undergoes emergency surgery in Portugal

The 74-year-old singer Bonnie Tyler was rushed to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, on April 30 following a bowel perforation. Her representative initially stated that she underwent successful emergency bowel surgery and was recovering. However, subsequent reports from the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha on May 7 indicated that her condition had deteriorated, leading to her transfer to an intensive care unit where she is allegedly in an induced coma and on a ventilator. Doctors have reportedly stated they cannot currently predict the outcome of her condition. Despite these medical reports, other sources, including the Daily Mail, previously maintained that the singer was recovering well following the procedure. Tyler maintains a residence in Portugal and currently has a European tour scheduled for later this year, which remains officially listed on her itinerary for now.
