Cypriot footballer Adonis Pelagias scores viral goal in Sweden

Adonis Pelagias, a 27-year-old Cypriot footballer playing for the Swedish club Arameiska Syrianska IF, gained significant attention after scoring a goal from approximately 60 meters. Pelagias decided to shoot after noticing the opposing goalkeeper was out of position, a tactic he frequently practices. The player has lived in Sweden for 13 years and comes from a family of athletes, as his mother, Daniela Pelagia, was the captain of the Cyprus national women's volleyball team, and his father, Giorgos Pelagias, also played football. Following a relegation from Division 2 last season, Pelagias is currently competing with his team in Division 3, where they are aiming for promotion. He previously spent time in Cyprus, where he played for Orfeas and completed his military service before permanently returning to Sweden. Pelagias noted that he enjoys taking personal initiative on the field. His team has started the current season strongly, scoring over 20 goals in their initial matches.
