Upgrading of the Ledras-Ariadnis parking facility in Nicosia begins

Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos and Maria Rousia of O.C. Roushas Trading & Development Ltd have signed a contract to upgrade the Ledras-Ariadnis multistorey parking facility in the capital's historic centre. The facility features seven levels, including two underground floors, a ground floor, and three upper floors, providing a total of 158 parking spaces, 9 of which are designated for persons with disabilities. Planned works include electrical and mechanical upgrades, new ventilation, fire safety systems, photovoltaics, and an advanced parking guidance system. Additionally, the project encompasses interior renovations such as repainting, industrial flooring, new signage, and upgraded restroom facilities. The construction is scheduled to last ten months and will be executed in three phases to keep the facility operational during the process. While three floors will close at a time during the initial stages, the ground floor is expected to remain closed for approximately one and a half months toward the end of the project.
