Document released as alleged suicide note of Jeffrey Epstein
A federal court in the United States has released a document identified as a potential suicide note allegedly written by Jeffrey Epstein. The note was discovered by Nicholas Tartaglione, a former police officer and convicted murderer who shared a cell block with Epstein. Federal Judge Kenneth Karas oversaw the release of the document, which dates back to July 2019, following a reported attempt by Epstein to harm himself. In the text, the author claims that months of investigations yielded no evidence and expresses frustration over legal proceedings related to sex trafficking charges. Epstein, a financier convicted in 2008 for soliciting a minor for prostitution, was arrested again in July 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges in New York and Florida. He was found dead in his New York prison cell in August 2019, a death officially ruled as a suicide. The note contains remarks stating it is a pleasure to be able to choose one's time to say goodbye.
