Panathinaikos reportedly exploring potential transfer of Kostas Tsimikas

Journalist Vasilis Mirotsos stated on the BACK2MPAK show that Panathinaikos has identified Kostas Tsimikas as a high-priority target to strengthen their left defensive flank. Tsimikas, currently under contract with Liverpool, is playing on loan at Roma. Panathinaikos has reportedly initiated preliminary contact with the player to gauge the possibility of his return to Greece. While the club acknowledges the transfer is highly difficult to execute, they have begun necessary internal preparations. Tsimikas joined Liverpool in 2020 for a reported 13 million euros from Olympiacos and has recorded 115 appearances and 18 assists for the English club. Liverpool's squad is undergoing changes, with Andrew Robertson departing this summer, though Milos Kerkez remains in the squad. It remains uncertain whether Tsimikas will return to Greece or fill the vacancy at Anfield.
