Parents sentenced for abuse of newborn in Karpenisi

The Mixed Jury Court of Lamia has sentenced a 43-year-old woman to 14 years in prison and a 47-year-old man to 12 years in prison for the severe physical abuse of their newborn child in Karpenisi. The defendants, who are former partners, were found guilty of intentional grievous bodily harm after two court postponements.
