Cyprus gaming authority reports rise in casino revenues for 2025
The Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority released its annual report for 2024-2025, detailing a significant increase in the industry's financial performance. Gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached 227 million euros in 2025, a 20 percent increase from 189.2 million euros in 2024. State tax revenue from these operations rose to 34.05 million euros in 2025, up from 28.3 million euros the previous year. By the end of 2025, the number of active registered players totaled 65,989. The flagship City of Dreams Mediterranean resort in Limassol accounted for 86 percent of total gaming revenue. Infrastructure consisted of 1,191 slot machines and 107 gaming tables across casinos in Limassol, Nicosia, Ayia Napa, and Paphos. While Cypriot patrons demonstrated a strong preference for slot machines, international clients contributed significantly to the increased revenue from gaming tables. Cumulative gaming revenues since the first casino opened in July 2018 have exceeded 529.7 million euros.
