Greek appeals court orders extradition of 29-year-old to Cyprus
The Thessaloniki Appeals Court has ruled that a 29-year-old Greek national must be extradited to Cyprus. The suspect faces charges of rape and sexual abuse involving a 14-year-old girl. According to legal documents, the alleged offenses occurred in Ayia Napa in July 2022. The man was arrested in March following the issuance of a European arrest warrant by Cypriot authorities. After receiving the extradition request from Cyprus, the Greek judicial panel approved the transfer of the suspect to the jurisdiction where the crimes reportedly took place. During the court proceedings, the 29-year-old chose not to make a statement. The extradition follows standard legal procedures established under the European arrest warrant framework.
