Fire service reports two residential fires in Larnaca and Nicosia

Fire services responded to two separate residential fire incidents on Wednesday. In Kokkinotrimithia, Nicosia district, a fire broke out in the ground floor of a two-storey house at 12:30 pm, caused by a candle on a wooden shelf. Fire units from Acropolis and Peristerona stations attended the scene, and all residents evacuated safely despite smoke damage to the property. Separately, in Larnaca, a fire destroyed an independent outdoor kitchen due to an unattended cooking utensil. The blaze also damaged an adjacent kitchen belonging to a neighboring property. The female owner sustained minor burns while attempting to extinguish the fire and received medical treatment from an ambulance crew on-site. Both incidents are currently being managed by the relevant regional fire stations.
