Businessman Aydin Cavusoglu hospitalized after shooting in Alanya
On Tuesday evening, 52-year-old businessman Aydin Cavusoglu, brother of former Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, was found with a gunshot wound in his office at a gas station in Alanya. Emergency services were alerted after a gunshot was heard and he was discovered by employees. Cavusoglu was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently in the intensive care unit in critical condition. Hulusi Sahin, the Governor of Antalya, visited the medical facility to receive updates on the situation. Mevlut Cavusoglu, who was abroad at the time of the incident, is reportedly returning to Turkey. Local authorities have cordoned off the area and are conducting a thorough investigation, including ballistic and technical examinations. Officials have not yet disclosed whether the incident was a targeted attack or an accidental occurrence, as the investigation remains ongoing.
