Cyprus University of Technology and Kourion Municipality sign cooperation agreement

On April 28, the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) and the Municipality of Kourion signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the university rector's office. The agreement was signed by the Rector of TEPAK, Professor Panayiotis Zaphiris, and the Mayor of Kourion, Pantelis Georgiou. This development follows an introductory meeting held in February between the university's Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the mayor. The partnership aims to facilitate cooperation in education, research, and sustainable development. Key planned activities include the organization of joint cultural and scientific events, the provision of consulting services, and participation in development programs. The agreement also focuses on facilitating student internships and staff exchanges to improve links between the university and the local labor market. Furthermore, both parties intend to work together to promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative is part of the university's broader strategy to enhance its community outreach.
