Paphos tourism board launches thematic excursion program

The Paphos regional tourism board, known as Etap, has introduced a series of free thematic excursions in the Polis Chrysochous and Akamas area. The initiative, scheduled to run throughout May and June 2026, aims to promote the cultural and natural heritage of the region. The excursions include visits to five major points of interest: the Sea and Culture Museum, the Reptile and Amphibian Park, the Marion-Arsinoe Archaeological Museum, the Akamas Rural Life and Tradition Museum in Droushia, and the Avifauna and Terrestrial Flora Information Centre in Kathikas. These sites are intended to provide a comprehensive narrative on biodiversity, marine ecosystems, and local history. The inaugural excursion took place on May 2, 2026, with 25 participants. Feedback regarding the organization and content of the tour was reported as positive. The program is designed to attract tourism to lesser-known parts of the Paphos district.
