Electoral preparations for the May 2026 legislative elections in Paphos

For the upcoming May 24, 2026, legislative elections in the Paphos district, 67 nominations have been submitted by 16 party combinations and two independent candidates. According to election official Efrosyni Georgiou, 74.6% of candidates are male and 25.4% are female. Protests against nominations may be filed within 24 hours of the deadline, which was May 6 at 12:30 p.m. Separately, Interior Ministry official Menelaos Vasiliou confirmed that 47,384 voters are registered in the Paphos district. A total of 135 polling stations have been established based on residential proximity. Between January 3 and April 2, 2026, 1,019 new voters were added to the electoral roll. No nominations were submitted by the parties Democratika Allagi or Akroaristeri Antistasi Kommounismos.
