Diego Simeone discusses hotel change ahead of Arsenal vs. Atlético Madrid semi-final
Atlético Madrid is set to face Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final at the Emirates Stadium with a 1-1 aggregate score from the first leg. This match serves as a rematch following Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over Atlético during the earlier league phase in London. Ahead of the fixture, head coach Diego Simeone decided to change the team's accommodation, moving to a different hotel than the one used during their previous defeat in October. While some observers suggested the move was motivated by superstition, Simeone dismissed these claims during a press conference. He stated that the decision was purely financial, noting that the new accommodation was less expensive. Simeone also noted that he believes the team has shown significant improvement since their meeting in October. Both teams are competing for a spot in the Champions League final.
