Public Book Awards 2026 voting process begins

The 13th edition of the Public Book Awards has officially commenced in Greece and Cyprus. Readers are invited to vote for their favorite titles across 10 categories at the website www.publicbookawards.gr. This year's selection includes 1,581 books submitted by 1,400 authors and 62 publishing houses. The initial voting phase runs from today until May 17, 2026. Following this, a second phase will occur from May 25 to June 7, 2026, where the public will select final winners from a shortlist of 10 books per category. In addition to general categories, special distinctions such as the Editorial Footprint award and Public Bookstore awards will recognize key figures in the publishing sector. The event aims to promote literacy and strengthen ties between readers, authors, and publishers.
