Cyprus Civil Defense updates evacuation plan ahead of fire season

The Cyprus Civil Defense has finalized an update to the 'Polyvios' evacuation plan for all provincial communities. This initiative, completed in mid-April, follows identified weaknesses observed during the major Limassol wildfires last July. To ensure operational readiness for the fire season starting May 1, the Ministry of Interior has scheduled evacuation exercises across all districts throughout May.
