The 7th CSN Cyprus ICT Conference in Limassol focused on the integration of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and automation within the shipping sector. Theodoulos Mesimeris, Director General of the Shipping Deputy Ministry, stated that these technologies are rapidly reshaping ship operations and risk management. He emphasized that Cyprus maintains its position as a leading global shipping hub and the largest ship management center in the EU due to public-private cooperation. Separately, Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hadjimanoli addressed the importance of adapting education to technological changes during a MIEEK Limassol awards ceremony. The discussion highlighted the 'Nicosia Declaration,' signed by European shipping ministers, which prioritizes lifelong learning and professional development.
