Greece defeats Hungary in women's water polo World Cup qualifying

The Greek women's national water polo team secured a 14-9 victory against Hungary in the World Cup Division 1 qualifying tournament held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The victory significantly improves Greece's chances of qualifying for the tournament finals scheduled for July 22-26 in Sydney. Greece dominated the final period with a 6-2 partial score to pull away from Hungary. Christina Siouti led the Greek offense with five goals, while Elena Xenaki contributed four. For Hungary, Farago scored four times. The quarter scores were 2-1, 2-3, 3-4, and 2-6. Coach Haris Pavlidis led the Greek team following their previous match against Australia.
