Nicosia district shooting championship kicks off

The 13th Nicosia District Shooting Championship began last Sunday at the Lakis Psymolofitis Olympic Shooting Range in Latsia. The event is organized by the Nicosia Hunting and Conservation Association in cooperation with the Nicosia Shooting Organization, with prizes sponsored by sports journalist Andreas Lazanitis. The Ftelia Geri hunting club won the team event with 125 out of 150 successful hits. They were followed by the Nicosia Hunting Union with 119 hits and the Fragolina Kaimakli club with 115 hits. Individual winners included Stelios Stylianou in the elite category, Athos Voskaridis in Class A, Nikos Vourkas in Class B, and Christos Zodiatis in Class C. Additionally, Stavros Parmenidis won the junior category, while Anastasis Kostas and Charalampos Pittis secured first place in the veteran hunter and veteran shooter categories, respectively.
