Voluntary recall of Ligmar gas stoves due to safety non-compliance

The Department of Electrical and Mechanical Services has announced a voluntary recall of Ligmar brand gas stoves, including models 1-13SRB, 2-03SRB, and 3B-03SRB. These products, manufactured by Chinabest Home Appliance Co. Ltd and supplied by Geogas Trading Limited, failed laboratory tests based on the EN 484:2019+AC:2020 standard. The department stated that the stoves do not comply with the European Union Regulation 2016/426 and may pose safety risks. Consumers are advised to stop using these appliances immediately and return them to the point of sale. Under the 2021 Law on Certain Aspects Concerning Contracts for the Sales of Goods, consumers are entitled to free repair or replacement, including removal and installation costs. If repair or replacement is not feasible, the consumer may terminate the contract and receive a full refund. These rights are valid for two years from the initial delivery, and the final retailer bears primary responsibility to the consumer.
