Stelios bi-communal awards for business co-operation to take place in Nicosia
The 16th annual Stelios Bi-Communal Awards for Business Co-operation are set to take place in Nicosia on June 8. A total of 78 entrepreneurs, forming 39 bi-communal teams of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, are competing for a prize pool of €500,000. The ceremony is expected to be attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides. The funding is provided by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of the easy family of brands and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. Nine teams will be awarded prizes for their innovation and potential. The top gold award will grant €150,000 to one team, while two teams will receive silver awards totaling €200,000. Additionally, six teams will receive bronze awards totaling €150,000. The initiative aims to foster cooperation, trust, and peaceful coexistence between the two communities through joint business ventures.
