Ministry of Culture announces funding results for Politismos III programme

The Cypriot Deputy Ministry of Culture has released the funding results for the 'Politismos III' (2026–2030) programme, focusing on dance and theater. In the dance sector, 39 applications were submitted, with 30 deemed valid and qualifying with scores over 70 points. Due to budget constraints, only the top 22 applicants were awarded a total of €273,328. For the theater sector, 48 applications were submitted, with 45 valid and 44 qualifying with over 70 points. Ultimately, the top 19 theater projects were selected for funding totaling €169,936. Across both sectors, 41 out of 75 valid proposals received grants, with total funding exceeding €443,000. Program regulations specify that applicants funded under the 'Thymeli 2026' scheme are limited to a single grant from 'Politismos III', specifically the one with the highest evaluation score. The funding aims to support creative development, artistic mobility, and audience engagement.
