Nomination process for the 2026 Cyprus parliamentary elections
Election officials in Cyprus have announced that the nomination process for the parliamentary elections scheduled for May 24, 2026, will take place on May 6, 2026. The filing of nominations across all electoral districts is set for between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. In Nicosia, nominations will be submitted at the Archangelos Ceremony Hall of the Kykkos Monastery. In Limassol and Larnaca, procedures will occur at the local district administration offices. For the Famagusta district, the process will be held at the district administration offices in Paralimni. Specific time slots have been assigned to political parties, coalitions, and independent candidates to ensure the orderly filing of paperwork. The schedule for Famagusta lists over 17 political entities and groups, ranging from established parties like DISY, AKEL, and DIKO to various smaller movements and independent candidates.
