Temporary maintenance of Tax For All system and deadline extension

The Tax Department of Cyprus has announced temporary downtime for the Tax For All (TFA) system due to scheduled maintenance. The system will be offline starting Thursday, May 7, at 13:00, and Tuesday, May 12, at 07:30. In response, the Commissioner of Taxation has extended the deadline for VAT returns and payments for the period ending March 31, 2026, as well as VIES declarations for April 2026. The new deadline for these submissions and payments is May 20, 2026. After this date, filings will be considered late and subject to penalties. The penalties include a €100 fine for late VAT returns, a 10% surcharge on outstanding VAT, and a €50 fine for late VIES submissions. The department apologized for any inconvenience caused by these operations.
